2011 - 2012 Concerts

• Saturday, November 19, 2011, 7:30 p.m. at St. James Greater Catholic Church, Charles Town, WV.  Goodwill donation.

• Monday, December 19, 2011, 7:00 p.m., at Ballenger Creek Middle School; in lieu of an admission charge, FRYO requests audience members to bring a donation of non-perishable food items for the church's Deacon's Pantry.

• Sunday, March 18, 2012, 7:00 p.m. at The Weinberg Center for the Arts, Frederick.  Canned food donations in lieu of admission charge.

• May 18 or 19, 2012.  Time and place to be posted later.

• Tickets are available at the door. $8/Adults, $4/Seniors and Students.

Become a Member of the Frederick Regional Youth Orchestra

FRYO offers students the opportunity to play a varied musical repertoire in four performance groups: advanced full orchestra, intermediate full orchestra, and beginning wind and string ensembles. Master classes, sectional coaching and chamber ensembles are part of our program. Rehearsals are held on Monday nights during the school year at Ballenger Creek Middle School, 5525 Ballenger Creek Pike, Frederick, MD 21703. Frederick Regional Youth Orchestra is a non-profit, 501c3 organization supported in part by the Frederick Arts Council and the Maryland State Arts Council.

Membership in the Frederick Regional Youth Orchestra is through audition and is open to upper elementary through high school students who have played their instrument for at least one year. There is a $10 audition fee for prospective new members. A limited number of need-based scholarships for tuition are available. To schedule an audition please call Peggy Alley at 301-695-1187.
